Squirrel Suicide
I admit I don't like the squirrels they are nasty mean little rodents but I don't wish them extermination. Well maybe I do, over the years I made the decision not to slam on the brake or swerve into oncoming traffic to spare a squirrel, I'll just hit the damn thing. I admit this has happened once and only once as they are fast little suckers. However they are not at all smart. Case in point, last week I was walking the N to the park to meet his posse of canines and we witnessed a squirrel suicide. Although the park is a mere three blocks from our house its a long walk as Noah likes to stop & sniff every plant, tree, rock etc. So on such walk he stops to pee on the trunk of a tree and above us are two squirrels having the mother of all fights. One comes flying down the tree and runs full on into Noah's noggin'. It does not stop it uses my dogs head as a launching pad, sails over the sidewalk and into oncoming traffic where is gets run over hence confirming my theory they maybe fast but are certainly stupid.

Stupidity Leak
People are dumb. Honestly sometimes I am flabbergasted that humans have managed to survive this long as a species considering the percentage of the population that has no clue. I believe everyone is entitled to their own views, opinions, faiths, and morals. But seriously that’s all they are yours and yours alone, they are not necessarily right nor do they make you any better than the next person. That being said I feel much better

Air Traffic Control
I had to fly on a commuter plane to SpokaVegas on my way to Pullman last week which I hate but I took the hit to get to my friends. I get on the plane and find my seat. There are 12 rows on this plane with two seats on each side. I had the aisle and the window seat was already occupied by a bigger person. By bigger I mean spilling over to my seat and I am unable to put down the armrest between the seats. I am not happy about this as I don’t like people I know touching me, so this is bad, very bad. I am not trying to be insensitive as I am not a size 4 or even an 8 but hell I can fit in one airplane seat! I can now understand the FAA recommendation that people who can’t fit in one seat pay more. I was the one who ended up the biggest loser and being uncomfortable the entire flight. Leaning over into the aisle, in the path of the in flight service cart, and sitting on one cheek, not cool.

Birthday
Today is my birthday and I am 31. It's was a good day. I talked a friend into getting up early to go on a long run with me, thanks Amy. I met my dear friend CYL and her rockin' kid for coffee, had lunch with some other friends, got emails and calls throughout the day from family/friends, then my husband made me a sweet birthday cake and we went to dinner with my family. I am really lucky to have such a wonderful family and great friends thank you all for your birthday wishes. I have alot to be thankful for and not a whole lot to complain about. 30 was a good year and I am sure 31 will be just as great!

The OCD
I've got a little of the obsessive compulsiveness in me, always have always will I suppose. I admit it and you know I don’t mind it at all. I function better with a plan and organization in my life, thus my OCD is limited to these areas. I have to make the bed first thing in the morning, eat the same cereal daily, and plan ahead and I mean way ahead. We're talking months here, just ask any of my friends or family I must have a plan. Luckily I married a very habitual man who can deal with it & in fact it works out well for the most part. My siblings find it hysterical, the source of never ending jokes and banter. I don’t mind, after all who do you think they call when they need the family contact list or an earthquake kit checklist…yep their OCD sister of course.

Wheels
Noah and I recently got new wheels. Noah is now being pulled around town in his very own Burley and I got two new bikes. Noah’s Doggy Ride is a sweet Dutch import which is pulled behind a bike much like a Burley for kids but this one is actually built for a dog complete with a sun roof. We do get some funny looks on the road but it’s really convenient and fun. Noah digs it he just lays down and enjoys being chauffeured around town. Alex bought me a new Orbea Damas race bike from Spain which I named Margarita and is of course pink. I got myself a Marin hybrid for riding around town with the boys too.
